This is the Badami Cave Temples, located in Badami, Karnataka, India. And its the caves are ancient rock-cut temples carved into sandstone cliffs. Built during the 6th to 8th centuries by the Chalukya dynasty. The temples are dedicated mainly to Hindu gods (Shiva, Vishnu) and Jain Tirthankaras.
And the purpose these caves were used for religious worship, meditation, and spiritual learning. Each cave represents a different deity or religious belief:
Cave 1 – dedicated to Lord Shiva
Cave 2 & 3 – dedicated to Lord Vishnu
Cave 4 – dedicated to Jainism
