Here is the inner courtyard of the fort with neatly maintained green lawns, pathways, and large shady trees. The long arched structures on both sides are old barracks or storage buildings built during the colonial era. The thick laterite stone walls around the view are part of the fort’s defensive structure. In the background, you can see the Arabian Sea, showing that the fort overlooks the coastline. In St. Angelo Fort was built by the Portuguese in 1505, later occupied by the Dutch and the British.

This place is one of the most beautiful and well-preserved forts in Kerala. The fort offers sea views, historic architecture, and peaceful gardens. And a popular tourist attraction located close to Kannur town.
