This is the Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace and Gardens located in Srirangapatna, near Mysuru (Mysore), Karnataka, India. The building visible in the background is Daria Daulat Bagh, which means “Garden of the Wealth of the Sea.” It was the summer palace of Tipu Sultan, the ruler of Mysore in the late 18th century. The palace is a beautiful teakwood structure built in 1784, featuring Islamic-style architecture with arches, pillars, and balconies.
The gardens surrounding it are well-maintained, with symmetrical flowerbeds, gravel pathways, and trimmed hedges typical of Mughal-style landscaping. Inside the palace (not visible in this photo) are murals, paintings, and historical displays depicting Tipu Sultan’s reign and battles.
